A pair of Manchester United players could miss the club’s pre-season tour with a trip to Argentina for the Copa America tournament.
According to Express, Manchester United back Marcos Rojo and winger Angel Di Maria have been named to Argentina’s preliminary 30-man Copa America squad – which would likely prevent them from joining Manchester United on the club’s pre-season tour.
Rojo and Di Maria are joined by the Manchester City trio of Sergio Aguero, Martin Demichelis and Pablo Zabaleta as Premier League players selected to the 30-man list.
Argentina coach Tata Martino is scheduled to released the final 23-man roster for the Copa America on June 1st, with the tournament itself starting ten days later.
Di Maria has appeared in 19 games for Manchester United this year, scoring 3 goals. Rojo appeared in 19 games for the club without scoring a goal, but this past summer he scored the game-winning goal for the Argentinian national team in their World Cup win over Nigeria.
