22-year-old striker Stephan El Shaarawy will be leaving AC Milan, as he has signed with another club.
According to Goal.com, the Italian international will sign with Monaco on a loan deal.
They will have an option to buy El Shaarawy on a permanent deal at the end of the season though.
The Italian striker will look to make a fresh start in Ligue 1 play after having his last two seasons marred by injuries.
El Shaarawy expressed his optimism in signing a new deal with Monaco.
“It’s a great feeling to sign here in the principality. I’m very happy. I would like to thank the president of AS Monaco for this chance,” El Shaarawy said.
Despite his injury history, El Shaarawy’s talent is undeniable. He scored 16 goals for AC Milan in the 2012-13 season while making 37 Serie A appearances.
Since then, he has been unable to make more than 18 appearances in a season. However, he was able to score three goals in his limited action last season while coming up with three assists.
Monaco will look to build on their third-place finish in the Ligue 1 standings.
