Bogut says Curry is the clear MVP: Warriors center states his case on why it’s a flawed argument for others.
This year’s MVP race is arguably the most exciting in years with the likes of James Harden, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Chris Paul and Anthony Davis all involved in the conversation.
Harden dropped a career-high 51 points on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, while Westbrook recorded his 10th triple-double of the season against the Dallas Mavericks.
James has continued to make his case although his numbers aren’t as impressive as his rivals, CP3 put up 41 points and 17 assists on the same night while Davis continues to drag the New Orleans Pelicans towards the playoffs.
However, despite their best efforts, Curry is still regarded as the favourite to land the award and it would undoubtedly be deserved for the Warriors star.
A look across several bookmakers will reveal short odds on the Golden State point guard who is averaging 23.7 points per game and is shooting 43.4 percent from the field.
In addition, he is dishing out 7.8 assists per game and he is doing all this while being rested by coach Steve Kerr for key parts of games thus ensuring that he is actually playing less minutes than his rivals but still being equally as effective.
Add to the mix that the Warriors are the best team in the NBA with a 61-13 record which keeps them almost 11 games ahead of their nearest rivals in the Western Conference, and it becomes clear that there shouldn’t be any arguments if Curry does indeed seal MVP honours this year.
