Having failed to achieve their goals, they are once again looking to England in a bid to improve their fortunes. 34 year old Steven Gerrard is apparently their number one transfer target for off-season, though they are likely to be forced to wait until the summer when Gerrard’s Liverpool contract expires.
They are also reportedly keen on bringing in Galatasaray’s 30 year old playmaker Wesley Sneijder, though he recently signed a three and a half year deal with the Turkish giants. He has been linked with a move to the MLS for several months, though a lack of available ‘designated player’ slots has always prematurely halted clubs’ ambitions.
