In an impressive turn of events, the Liverpool Reds have tied the Chelsea Blues 1-1 thanks to a big goal by Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
With Liverpool trailing 1-0 after an early Chelsea goal from John Terry, the Reds were poised to go back to the lockers at halftime with plenty of nervousness. But Gerrard restored Liverpool’s confidence thanks to this perfectly placed header to the bottom right corner thanks to an assist by Jordan Henderson.
With Liverpool considered a long shot to jump Manchester United to become a Champions League qualifier, a win over the Premier League Champions would go an extremely long way to reducing that gap – especially with a pair of almost evenly matched teams in Crystal Palace and Stoke City on the schedule to close out the season.
Can Liverpool actually pull off the stunning upset of Chelsea in this match?
