The captain is ready to commit his future to the Reds.
There was uproar last week when Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard revealed he would be playing on beyond this season – whether that was at Anfield or not.

Gerrard is in the final year of his current contract with the Reds and there is debate as to whether Brendan Rodgers should look to extend that or not.
As influential as the 34-year-old was last season as his side finished second in the Premier League, his form has greatly dropped this time around and many think the skipper is past his best.
Yet Gerrard has offered such loyal service to his boyhood club that the Merseysiders are ready to offer the midfielder a new deal – especially with interest from teams like Manchester City increasing.
However, there will be a catch for the Englishman as in order to extend his stay he will have to take a 50% pay cut from his current weekly earnings of around £180,000, according to CaughtOffside.
Gerrard is ready to sign the deal though, which will have the option of a further year should things go well in 2015/16.
