Begovic will most likely be approached by Chelsea in the next few days, once Cech’s transfer is made official, according to The Telegraph.
Since the Stoke City goalkeeper only has one year left on his contract, he will be worth around £8m, but Chelsea will have to be able to convince him that he will only play behind superstar Thibaut Courtois.
Stoke want more than just the cash for Begovic though. The team has made it clear that Moses is one of its top signing prospects for the summer, and want him to be included in the deal.
Moses was on loan for Stoke this past season, and impressed with his four goals in 24 appearances, despite ending the season in April with a hamstring injury. He already fit into the team dynamics, and is wanted to be made a permanent addition to Britannia Stadium.
The Nigerian turned down Jose Mourinho’s offer to join Chelsea again in January and watched Stoke’s thrashing over Liverpool 6-1 in the last game of the season.
The last two seasons Moses has been on loan at Liverpool and Stoke, and will look to be be sold to another squad this summer. Whether Stoke is that team, we’ll just have to wait and see.
