Arsenal have been scouting the impressive Mings all season as he has helped Ipswich into the race for promotion to the Premiership, and Arsene Wenger has confirmed his admiration for the player, but it is Stoke who look set to make the first move.
Young left back Mings has made his way back into the profession game from non-league football and is now one of the key players under Mick McCarthy at Portman Road, with earlier reports having suggested that the Tractor Boys would hold out for £10m.
