Theo Walcott has reportedly agreed a new £100,000 per-week contract at Arsenal.
The 26-year-old’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium expires next summer and the Gunners were starting to fear that they could lose him on a free transfer.
But, after successful negotiations, the England international has signed fresh terms over an extension until 2019, on a salary that will make him one of Arsenal’s top earners.
The North London club will make an announcement within the next fortnight, according to The Mirror.
Walcott missed much of last season with a serious knee injury, but found some form in a central striking role towards the end of the campaign with four goals in his final two games.
He has also been used through the middle in pre-season, leading to suggestions that Walcott will compete with Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck for a starting spot this term.
