The Ohio State Buckeyes upset the Alabama Crimson Tide, 42-35, in the Sugar Bowl. They will face the Oregon Ducks in the national championship game.

The 2015 Sugar Bowl is sure to be remembered as the best game of the 2014-15 college football bowl season as it featured a thriller of a game from start to finish with a colossal upset.
Despite being clear underdog, No. 4 Ohio State stunned No. 1 Alabama, 42-35. The Crimson Tide appeared to be headed toward a convincing victory as they led, 21-6, in the second quarter.
However, the Buckeyes were far from ready to quit as they scored two unanswered touchdowns before halftime. They then scored an additional two touchdowns to take a 34-21 lead in the third quarter.
The Crimson Tide fought back with a touchdown to trim the lead to 34-28, but Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott scored what proved to be the difference maker with an 85-yard touchdown run.
Alabama scored a touchdown to make overtime a possibility, but quarterback Blake Sims threw a game-ending interception.
Buckeyes third-string quarterback Cardale Jones defied the odds once again as he threw for 243 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception while rushing for 43 yards on 17 carries. Elliott rushed for 230 yards with two touchdowns on 20 carries.
For Alabama, Sims threw for 237 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Running back Derrick Henry ran for 95 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, and wide receiver Amari Cooper kept his NFL draft stock high with nine catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
