The Arizona State Sun Devils finished with 10 wins after defeating the Duke Blue Devils, 36-31, in the Sun Bowl.

No. 15 Arizona State fought off a furious rally by Duke in an exciting Sun Bowl. They led, 20-3, in the second quarter before Duke scored 14 unanswered points.
The Blue Devils eventually took a 31-30 lead in the fourth quarter, but Kalen Ballage returned a kickoff 96 yards before running back Demario Richard instantly finished off the drive with a touchdown catch.
Blue Devils quarterback Anthony Boone threw an interception in the end zone to end the game on the final drive.
For the Sun Devils, quarterback Taylor Kelly threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns on 24-of-34 passing. Richard ran for 41 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries to go with 22 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.
Wide receiver Jaelen Strong, who will skip his senior season at Arizona State, impressed NFL draft scouts with seven receptions for 103 yards.
Meanwhile, Boone threw 193 yards and two touchdowns and an interception on 15-of-31 passing for Duke. Running back Shaquille Powell ran for 117 yards on 29 carries.
Wide receiver Jamison Crowder caught seven passes for 102 yards while returning a punt 68 yards for a touchdown.
