Arizona Arizona State preview
No. 15 Arizona State was not able to complete their quest to win the Pac-12, so they will face Duke in the Sun Bowl after finishing their regular season with a 9-3 record.
Their most recent loss came in the regular-season finale against Arizona as they fell, 42-35. Quarterbacks Taylor Kelly and Mike Bercovici each split time in the game, and Bercovici threw a costly interception.
Wide receiver Jaelen Strong caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, and he reached 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He will look to finish strongly before he enters the NFL draft, which he announced his intention to declare for.
Meanwhile, the Blue Devils finished their regular season with a win over Wake Forest after two consecutive losses. Like the Sun Devils, they hold a 9-3 record.
Quarterback Anthony Boone has struggled with his accuracy this year with only 56.9 percent of his passes completed. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder will be the player to watch out for as he has caught 78 passes for 942 yards and six touchdowns this season.
The Sun Devils offense will ultimately be too much for Boone to keep up with, and running backs Demario Richard and D.J. Foster are capable of maintaining time of possession.
Prediction: Arizona State 34, Duke 17
