Martin O’ Neill eyes firepower from France
Sunderland are monitoring PSG striker Guillame Hoarau, according to the Daily Mirror.
The French international has fallen out of favour at the mega-rich club and has been told he can depart during the January transfer window.
Hoarau, 28, arrived at PSG in 2008 with dreams of becoming a club legend.
Despite sparkling form in his first season at PSG, his progression as declined. In over four years at the club, he has netted thirty-eight times for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Paris Saint-Germain are now ready to offload their forward, with Premier League such as Everton and Liverpool also touted as potential suitors.
Sunderland are looking to add to their attacking personnel, having scored the third least goals in the Premier League. The North-East side’s top scorer is Steven Fletcher with eight goals to his name, with the likes of Craig Gardener, Adam Johnson and Stephane Sessegnon only having three goals to their tally.
