Arsenal look likely to miss out on one of their top January targets, with Morgan Schneiderlin committing his immediate future to Southampton, reports Caught Offside.

The 25-year-old was tipped to move last summer, but saw his transfer blocked by the Saints after a number of high profile exits.
While the Frenchman doesn’t rule out a departure from the club at the end of the season, he claims he has no intention of going anywhere this winter.
“It’s always difficult to leave in January,” he said.
“I think I’ll finish the season at Southampton and we’ll see what will happen next. I don’t set my mind on these things anymore.
“What should happen will happen. Since this summer, I learned that you should never think that you’re gone before you actually did.”
Champions League football is thought to be a top priority for Schneiderlin, something Arsenal can currently offer. With Ronald Koeman’s side flying high in the Premier League however, he could find himself among Europe’s elite next season at St Mary’s.
