The NFL has suspended Safety LaRon Landry for 4 games, effective immediately, for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
The statement from the Colts is as follows:
“LaRon Landry of the Indianapolis Colts has been suspended without pay for the next four games of the 2014 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances. Landry will be eligible to return to the Colts’ active roster on Monday, October 27 following the team’s October 26 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.”Landry was a workout warrior for the Jets in 2012, making the Pro Bowl while leading the team in tackles, which led to him receiving a large contract from the Colts in the 2013 offseason.
As anyone who has recently seen the massive size increase of Landry’s muscles since he entered the league in 2007, it may actually not come as much of a surprise. While with the Jets, he had a reputation for doing all of his workouts in the weight room with a full suit and tie on.
