Moroka’s forward almost back to his best
Three goals against the Black Aces have started Ed Manqele’s season with a bang.
The striker is on loan from Mamelodi Sundown and believes his hat-trick at the weekend is the best possible start to the season.
The match against Mpumalanga was his first full start for the club, having come off the bench against Amaturks and Kaizer Chiefs.
Speaking to Goal South Africa Manqele emphasised how positive he was about his start of the season: ” I think I’m slowly regaining my confidence and form after scoring the three goals against Aces. I believe it is the beginning of good things for me and my career.
“Starting from the bench in the first two games helped me to study the game and look at what I could bring to the team once I’m given the chance to start.
“I wouldn’t say I would have scored in the first two games if I was included in the starting line-up.”
The 26-year old from Randfontein was coy about sharing his goal scoring targets for the season: ” I have my targets for the season, but I am not going to reveal them, because I will be putting myself under unnecessary pressure.”
