Newcastle Knights back-rower Beau Scott released to Parramatta Eels on ‘compassionate grounds’
The Roosters took advantage of some poor defence from the Bulldogs in the second half to record the win. Canterbury lost James Graham to concussion early and never recovered.
The Bulldogs started the game well, Curtis Rona getting the first try.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck had a try chalked off for obstruction.
Then Daniel Tupou went over to tie things up.
Next, Tuivasa-Sheck’s four-pointer gave Sydney the lead.
A mistake from Sam Perrett put them further in front.
When Aidan Guerra ambled over the result was sealed.
But the Bulldogs managed to finish with some consolation. Josh Reynolds kicked for Moses Mbye and the outside back showed great speed to regather and score.
