In a one-sided game the Tigers had few answers to stop the Roosters onslaught. The home team got the first points of the game when Daniel Tupou touched down.
They went further in front after a mix-up lead to Sio Siua Taukeiaho’s try.
Then things got worse for the Tigers. First, Boyd Cordner forced his way over.
Then Tupou bagged his second. At half-time the Roosters were coasting with a 22-0 lead.
The Tigers managed to hold the Roosters out for a while, until Tupou collected his hat-trick.
Then Pearce got a lucky break and his try took the score to 36-0.
With three minutes left the Tigers finally got on the scoreboard, Dene Halatua forcing his way over.
But it was a tough night for the Tigers and a welcome return to the winners circle for the boys from Bondi.
