The Roosters ran riot against the Raiders, crossing after just three minutes. They dominated the whole match and never looked like losing.
Shaun Kenny-Dowall got the first try and then Roger Tuivasa-Sheck got the second just seven minutes later.
Soon after Blake Ferguson was in against his former club.
The Raiders managed to stem the bleeding for a while, and then they got a try of their own. Jarrod Croker was first to a well-weighted Mitch Cornish kick.
But the Raiders couldn’t add to that score. In the second half Daniel Tupou flew high to claim a Mitchell Pearce bomb.
Then James Maloney got his own touchdown. The five-eighth finished off a great backline move, arguably the try of the match.
It was a great afternoon for the Roosters but a terrible one for Canberra.
