The Poland international had originally been dropped from the team following a pair of mistakes against Southampton, as well as being disciplined for smoking in the showers at St. Mary’s. In the meantime his replacement Ospina has been impressive, gaining two consecutive clean sheets.
The Colombian had signed for the Gunners in the summer from Nice, but had found it hard to get match time with injuries holding him back. Before this run in the team he had played only once during the current campaign. However, he seems to have taken his chance with both hands, and looks likely to start between the sticks in the North London club’s massive game against Manchester City on Sunday.
