#Bucs are hosting potential top pick QB Marcus Mariota today. It’ll be similar to Jameis Winston’s. He’ll meet with all key decision makers

The Buccaneers hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft after finishing with an NFL-worst 2-14 record in 2014. Following the end of the season, the team released starting QB Josh McCown, leading many to believe that the Buccaneers were planning on drafting a QB with their No. 1 pick.
Mariota won the 2015 Heisman Trophy after leading the NCAA in total offense and passer rating while bringing the No. 2 Oregon Ducks to a PAC-12 Championship, a Rose Bowl win over the defending college football champion Florida State Seminoles, culminating in a loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the National Championship game. While many have praised Mariota’s athleticism and leadership, some have questioned his NFL-arm strength.
The consensus of top QBs in the 2015 draft is that Florida State QB Jameis Winston and Mariota are the top two QB prospects available. While Winston is seen as a pro-ready QB who can make all of the NFL throws, Mariota has been viewed by some as a system QB who was unable to get the job done against non-PAC-12 opponents.
