The Tampa Bay Buccaneers received some good news and finally caught a break. Running back Doug Martin will be returning to the field after missing two weeks with a knee injury, so the team and his fantasy football owners can breathe a sigh of relief.
The Buccaneers will play the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Martin will have a golden opportunity to regain the lion’s share of the carries after backup Bobby Rainey fumbled twice in a blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Martin struggled in his limited action against the Carolina Panthers as he was held to nine yards on nine carries, but he is sure to face weaker defensive lines from here on out.
Here is a tweet from NFL on ESPN confirming Martin’s status.
