The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have decided to keep running back Doug Martin on the bench due to a minor knee injury since he hurt himself in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
Bobby Rainey will start in Martin’s place as Martin looks to recover from his knee injury and continue being a key part of the Tampa Bay offense.
The running game struggled mightily last week against the Carolina Panthers, and they will face another challenge against the St. Louis Rams defensive line.
Here is a tweet from NFL insider Jay Glazer confirming Martin being inactive.
