The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Washington Redskins in their preseason finale as they look to develop further chemistry in their promising offense.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers earned their first preseason win against the Buffalo Bills last week, and their defense showed a lot of promise. It will be tested as they face the Washington Redskins.
The Buccaneers will have a new addition in guard Logan Mankins, who was acquired in a trade from the New England Patriots for tight end Tim Wright.
This is sure to boost the offense, and running back Doug Martin has looked solid in the preseason and appears primed for a bounceback season. Quarterback Josh McCown will also benefit from this trade, and he had himself a solid game last week with 13-of-16 passing for 112 yards and a touchdown after settling down following an early interception.
Rookie wide receiver Mike Evans will look to solidify his hold on the starting job opposite Vincent Jackson.
For the Redskins, Colt McCoy will start at quarterback as Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins take the night off. Cousins is expected to play in case of emergency though.
The Redskins will look to figure out their running back situation behind Alfred Morris and Roy Helu. Lache Seastrunk is expected to win the No. 3 job since Chris Thompson is out with an ankle injury, but Silas Redd may be a dark horse to make the roster.
