Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop was not able to play the entirety of Game 2, but they were able to snatch a 4-3 win with 20-year-old Andrei Vasilevskiy in the net.
It is unknown whether Bishop had an injury or illness, but the Lightning’s lips are sealed on whether he will play Game 3, which will be played in Chicago.
Lightning coach Jon Cooper claimed that he doesn’t know who will start while Bishop constantly deflected questions about his game status.
He paid an homage to an NFL player who is well-known for stonewalling media reporters.
“I feel like Marshawn Lynch right now,” Bishop said in reference to the Seattle Seahawks running back.
Despite the Lightning’s question marks about Bishop, Cooper insisted that Vasilevskiy is ready to go if he is called upon.
However, the Lightning will have an uphill battle to face as the Blackhawks are 7-1 at home in the playoffs.
