Manchester United striker James Wilson is hoping to get more playing time next season.
The 19-year-old had his 2014-15 season derailed by a hamstring injury, but he was able to make 17 appearances for the first team.
“I can only show the manager what I got. He kind of knows my qualities so I have just got to go out on the pitch, show him what I can do and hopefully get that chance to play this season,” Wilson said, according to the Daily Star.
Wilson managed to score two goals in his limited action, but the England Under-20 international is hoping to take advantage of the lack of depth United have at striker.
The Red Devils will not have Robin van Persie or Radamel Falcao with them next season, which leaves them with only Wilson, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez.
However, they are reportedly close to reaching a deal for Barcelona forward Pedro as manager Louis van Gaal continues to work hard at upgrading his attack.
