2) Mario Balotelli (AC Milan)
Rumours are hotting up that former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli could be closing in on a sensational return to the Premier League with rivals Arsenal in a £29.5m move. The Italian international, who netted the winning goal against England in last week’s World Cup clash, could prove a risky signing for the Gunners, but is undoubtedly a world class talent on his day, and would add some quality to Arsene Wenger’s side next season. With only Olivier Giroud to pick from upfront in 2013/14, Arsenal would greatly benefit from Balotelli’s skill, pace and goalscoring prowess, and even if his disciplinary record is questionable, he would certainly be worth the big money if he could find his best form at the Emirates Stadium. The likes of Chelsea and Monaco have also been linked with the 23-year-old in recent months.
