3) Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Undoubtedly one of the best players in the world for the last few years, Ballon d’Or winner and European Champion Cristiano Ronaldo has not yet made much of an impact for Portugal at this summer’s World Cup finals. The Real Madrid goal machine has not yet found the back of the net as his side have stumbled to just one point from their first two games, and the petulant side of his game was on show against Germany as he was denied a penalty by the referee. Ronaldo has the quality to provide at least one crucial moment of magic in his side’s final group game, but perhaps the burden of being by far his country’s best player is getting to be too much for him.
