1) Joey Barton (Queens Park Rangers)
What more can be said about Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton? The 31-year-old somehow remains a big name in English football despite achieving precisely nothing in the game. The former Manchester City, Newcastle United and Marseille man has kept himself in the spotlight down the years for his aggressive play on the pitch as well as numerous controversial incidents off it. More recently, and almost more annoyingly, Barton has attempted to reinvent himself as a troubled genius and deep-thinking philosophy buff, but coming across on his Twitter account as little more than a pretentious and attention-seeking bore, who isn’t nearly as clever as he thinks he is.
