2) Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
Sadly, one of the finest players in the world at the moment is also undoubtedly up there with one of the most hated. Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has simply not learned from his past mistakes and continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. Since moving to the Premier League alone, Suarez has earned a reputation for being a terrible diver, as well as notably being accused of racial abuse of Manchester United’s Patrice Evra. He then later bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a match at Anfield, and repeated the offence at the World Cup this summer with an attack on Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini. In each of these cases Suarez has never truly shown any genuine signs of remorse, which a contrived recent apology for the Chiellini incident likely only to serve the purpose of helping him leave Liverpool – who have embarrassed themselves in their relentless efforts to stick up for him – for a move to Barcelona.
