Reports suggest that Arsenal TWICE turned down the chance to sign Mario Balotelli from AC Milan this summer, allowing him to move for just £16m to their rivals Liverpool. There’s no doubt that the firey Italian international’s signing is something of a gamble for the Reds, but his natural talent makes him a superior option to Arsenal’s current strikers Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck. For such a low fee as well, it’s hard to understand why the Gunners chose not to push this move through.
