2) Angel Di Maria
Recent reports suggest that Real Madrid have been offering influential wide-man Angel Di Maria to top clubs around Europe for just £40m. It would be no exaggeration to say that the Argentine was one of the club’s best creative players in 2013/14, contributing a total of 11 goals and 26 assists to their superb double-winning campaign which saw them enjoy success in the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey. Currently on show at the 2014 World Cup, Di Maria would be a great signing for most big clubs, and, like Mesut Ozil last summer, could prove to be something of a mistake sale for Madrid, who have a history of not giving credit to some of their less glamorous performers.
