The Tennessee Titans improved to 2-1 in the preseason as they beat the Atlanta Falcons 24-17 on Saturday.
The Falcons blew a 17-3 lead as they allowed running back Bishop Sankey to score the winning touchdown with 5:45 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Quarterback Jake Locker turned in a solid performance with 188 yards and a touchdown on 12-for-17 passing, and Zach Mettenberger added another 148 yards on 11-for-19 passing.
Sankey rushed for 44 yards on 16 carries to go with his touchdown, and wide receiver Nate Washington led the team in receiving with 94 yards and a touchdown on three receptions. Justin Hunter continued to perform well with 48 receiving yards on three catches.
The defensive line also turned in a solid performance with sacks from Jurrell Casey and Sammie Hill.
For the Falcons, Matt Ryan looked like his old self with 224 yards and two touchdowns on 18-for-23 passing.
Wide receivers Julio Jones and Devin Hester each caught touchdown passes, and rookie defensive lineman Ra’Shede Hageman recorded a sack.
