The Tennessee Titans are enduring a rough season as they have lost four games in a row after winning their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Quarterback Jake Locker continues to be injury-prone as he is nursing a thumb injury, which he sustained in Week 5 before being replaced by Charlie Whitehurst.
Whitehurst is expected to make another start for the Titans according to the Tennessean. The Titans have been hurting offensively since running back Shonn Greene is nursing a hamstring injury, and wide receiver Justin Hunter has underachieved aside from a 75-yard touchdown catch last week.
The Titans will have a prime opportunity to snap their losing streak this week as they face the winless Jacksonville Jaguars, who have the worst defense in the league with 33.8 points allowed per game.
The Jaguars also rank dead last in the league in total defense, so this may be rookie running back Bishop Sankey’s chance to establish himself as the lead back in the Titans offense.
