TCU Texas preview
Texas had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 48-10 blowout loss to TCU, but they were still able to achieve bowl eligibility as they finished with a 6-6 record. They will look to redeem themselves in the Texas Bowl against Arkansas.
Longhorns quarterback Tyrone Swoopes struggled mightily as he threw for 200 yards with one touchdown and four interceptions.
The Longhorns have improved on defense this season aside from their loss to TCU as they rank 32nd in the country with 23.3 points allowed per game.
Arkansas also holds a 6-6 record, and they lost their most recent game against Missouri. Quarterback Brandon Allen stepped up with two touchdown passes. Running backs Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins were held to 131 yards together though.
The rushing attack has been the strength of the Razorbacks offense throughout the season as Williams and Collins have both rushed for over 1,000 yards and at least 11 rushing touchdowns.
Arkansas should have no problem controlling the clock against Texas if the running game can get a rhythm going early on, but the Razorbacks will be in trouble if they fall behind since Allen has not proven to be a consistently reliable quarterback.
Prediction: Arkansas 31, Texas 21
