The 2014 summer transfer window has already been a busy one for the Premier League, with all 20 clubs having dipped their toe into the notoriously volatile market.
So far, however, it seems as though the Premier League is doing well – with a number of clubs having made eye-catching signings despite the league having lost one of its finest performers, with Luis Suarez leaving Liverpool for Barcelona.
We’ve taken a fine toothcumb to the summer Premier League business and picked out the ten most important captures to have been made by Premier League clubs during the window.
Alexis Sanchez (Barcelona to Arsenal)
Arsenal’s capture of winger Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona for a fee in excess of £30m has been the Premier League’s most eye-catching signing so far, with the former Udinese man set to add an extra dimension to the Gunners’ play.
The Chilean will be looking to take his 2014 FIFA World Cup form into the new season and offer a threat with his pace and trickery from the wide left position.
