3. Chelsea – £129m.
True to form after 10 years owning the Blues, Roman Abramovich has shelled out nearly £130m on new players in the last 12 months alone.
The club seem slightly less reckless with their kitty than they have been in the past though, with highest purchases Eden Hazard and Oscar proving to have utter class.
2. AS Monaco – £148m.
Despite only having just returned to Ligue 1 at the end of last season, Monaco are the second highest spenders in world football with owner Dymitry Rybolovlev giving manager Claudio Ranieri a seemingly free reign with the club’s wallet.
New stars Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez account for around £110m between the three of them and signs say the spending isn’t over yet.
1. PSG – £186m.
Yet it’s still PSG that top the list, with the enormous £55m paid out for Edison Cavani putting the Parisians ahead of their league rivals.
Along with Cavani, Thiago Silva arrived from AC Milan for £37m last summer whilst Lucas was a £35.5m buy in January.
