According to the Blues’ website this deal has already been agreed, although as yet no official medical and personal terms have been announced.

Luis was somewhat surplus to requirements under Mourinho last season – with Gary Cahill and John Terry the preferred central defensive partnership – and therefore receiving £40m appears to be very good business.
