The Spanish midfielder would be affordable, and fits Rodgers’ style of play perfectly. His slick passing and clever movement in the middle would help Liverpool retain possession, in the centre of the park. He’s also effective at the right end of the field, having scored three and assisted two already this term. Worth a punt if more high-profile targets are unavailable.
