The 24-year-old Croat is one of the Bundesliga’s most underrated players. Not only can he intercept possession from the opposition, but his passing is particularly impressive. He’s registered two assists this season, and would provide Liverpool with a midfielder with the technical ability of Joe Allen, but with much improved combativeness and aggression.
