Dev was not only probably the best fast bowler India have ever produced, but he is probably also their best all-rounder – notching up an respectable average of 31.05. The bowler was voted India’s Cricketer of the Century in 2002, ahead of Gavaskar and Tendulkar. His ability to swing the ball with accuracy always caused batsmen trouble.
