4. Anil Kumble – 132 Tests (619 wickets, average 29.65)
The often underrated Kumble was a bowler of devastating leg-spin, that baffled and beat batsmen on many occasions, and is the holder of a number of records. In 1999 he took all 10 wickets from in innings against Pakistan and in 2001 he became India’s first spinner to take 300 wickets. In 2007 he went past Glenn McGrath’s 563 wickets, to make him the third highest wicket-taker in Test history.
