Playing in one of the most formidable batting line-ups Test cricket has ever seen, V.V.S. Laxman had the ability for sublime stroke-play and could score centuries from any position. He really came into his own as a batsman in the early-2000s when he dominated a couple of series against Australia – who were the world’s greatest team at the time.
