2. Rahul Dravid – 164 Tests (13,288 runs, average 52.31)
Never considered to be a naturally gifted batsman, Dravid defied his critics through sheer hard work and made himself almost impossible for bowlers to dismiss. Surrounded by flair players, Dravid was solid and reliable, but still managed to amass an incredible amount of Test runs. The batsman was also the Indian captain for a short time after Ganguly.
