9) Micah Richards (Manchester City)
A terrific prospect who has lost his way somewhat, Arsenal could be wise to take a gamble on the signing of Manchester City defender Micah Richards. The former England international can operate either at centre-back or right-back, and would be a highly useful squad player for the Gunners if they lose Vermaelen, even if the player himself may favour a move to somewhere where he would have a higher chance of being first choice.
