Bizarrely, despite being considered an important player for Madrid this 27-year-old is about to enter the final year of his current contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
A cruciate ligament injury saw Khedira sidelined for much of the last campaign, but the German is still among the finest defensive midfielders in Europe.
