Halfback Nic White extends contract.
The ACT Brumbies have retained Nic White after extending his contract until the end of 2014, according to Fox Sports.
Over the last two seasons the 22-year-old has cemented his place in the Brumbies side as their first choice halfback.
White made 19 appearances for the Brumbies despite battling a shoulder injury that threatened to sideline him for most of the 2012 season.
The Halfback is still waiting to make his first senior international appearance after remaining on the bench behind Will Genia for all three of Australia’s home Tests against Wales last June.
Brumbies coach Jake White was pleased by the resigning and the improvement both in attacking and defense the Brumbies other White had made during the 2012 season. The High profile coach is looking for an even better performance from the halfback in the this years season.
“He spent most of 2012 battling a shoulder problem, so with that out of the way we are expecting Nic to have a big season.
“Along with guys like David Pocock, Stephen Moore and Ben Alexander, Nic’s contract extension allows us to plan for a strong future at the Brumbies.”
The Brumbies are currently leading the Australian conference of the Super 15 competition and are looking in great form for the season already.
Their performance has been largely attributed to the influence of Jake White who has revitalized the team with his unique approach and clever off-season signings.
The signing of White is more good news for the Brumbies ahead of their clash against the New South Wales Waratahs on Saturday.
