In 2012, Goodell made $4.2 million in addition to $9 million in deferred compensation. The NFL tax forms for the year of 2013 revealed that Goodell made a whopping $35 million.
This is sure to anger many NFL fans, due to Goodell’s decreasing popularity for his handling of the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson situations and inconsistent fining/suspension philosophy.
However, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank expressed his approval of Goodell making this amount of money, citing his leadership and performance as commissioner.
