The reappointment of Jose Mourinho as manager has done wonders for the defender’s stability in the Blues first team, who has been brilliant alongside captain John Terry.
Whilst many have been calling for Terry to be tempted out of retirement, Cahill has been too often overlooked as a ready-made and established player to do the job.
