The news that Chelsea fans have been waiting for finally arrived on Friday afternoon after it was announced that much maligned striker Fernando Torres agreed a two-year loan deal to join Italian giants AC Milan.

After bagging just 20 league goals in 110 appearances, 45 in 172 in all competitions, he has a record that suggests that Chelsea vastly overpaid for the player – almost comically so.
